Packing day!

Thank God the weather is miserable. It makes spending the day inside packing a little better. I am so tired. We have been packing since 8am (which is about 6 hours at this point) and I feel that we still have so much more. We have also been packing for weeks before this... I guess we are almost there, just a few more days.

On a brighter note we bought a new car yesterday! We got a 2010 BMW X5. It is a bit posh for the farm but we fell in love with after we test drove. We had no intention of buying that car but it was meant to be. I have been in love with white BWMs with camel interior forever and that is what they had in stock! It was the last X5 for 2 months at Greenwich BMW! We pick up the car Tuesday I will upload a few pictures of Adam and I with it. :-)

We also spent sometime on the farm yesterday. We did a walk through and got really excited for our move. The place looks so much better without the previous owners furniture. We were disappointed that she sold the little canoe by the pond as we were hoping for a "booze cruise" when we moved in. I guess we can add a canoe to the long list of items we need. I am really looking forward to eating al fresco over looking our land with the sunsets in the evenings. From the back of the house you have an amazing view of the land, forest and the pond. I will post pictures soon I promise.

Back to packing...

Moving to the Country

This is my first post of many (I hope). Adam and I will be officially moving to the country next week. We have purchased an old farmhouse/barn in Bedford, NY along with 5 sprawling acres of land. Adam and I will be documenting and sharing our progress as we remodel the house, plant our first fruits and vegetables and acquire animals of all types. Wish us luck as we say goodbye to our city life, trade in our Manolos and say hello to the country and Hunter boots.

xoxo,
Mari

Moving day is March 31, 2010.
